Advanced Mountaineering Training

Mixed ground, belays, leading a rope team at altitude and turnaround decisions, on six-thousand-metre peaks.

In coordination with the NNMGA

01The training

After the basics, the ground gets steeper and decisions matter more. Trainees lead a rope team on mixed ground, build their own belays and learn to choose the line.

The heart of the training is judgement: when to go on, when to wait, and when to turn around.
